Life as a professional cyclist can be tough. Just ask Manolito Becerra. The 34 year old Spanish rider worked his tail off for the captains of Die Tour Phantome. Seven Vueltas, 2 GT's, once in Volta ao Porto and Essex Tour, numerous classics and even a World Championship.
Manolito even refused to do any more training after reaching an average of 43, afraid of becoming to good to stay a team mate. "I never saw a rider who matched the potential Manolito displayed", one of the team scouts says. Never a result in nine seasons. Never better than a fifth place. But still, he will be missed. Hasta la vista, Becerra!

He has been a great team mate for me helping me get into Div 5 so far, however he is now ready to retire.
A super domestique
Maybe he will shine on a lower level.
